at least enjoy the solitude of a roaring pyre of ignorance?

what is witchcraft, if we cannot make play at trial
while our fate is decided for us by others
who have experienced our life no more than we have?

what is witchcraft without an argument
based on nothing but opinions
and a total disrespect towards
each other and ourselves?

what is witchcraft without the incantations
of a guilty blasphemer, pouring out his soul
for a tiny golden prize?

what is witchcraft without a war of wily words,
a battle based on profane utterances of ill report?

what is witchcraft, if not a release of black energy,
stored among us, feeding on our sweat,
drinking on our misfortune
and growing stronger yet from our few joyous moments?

what is witchcraft, if we cannot fight the good fight,
win as the underdog, overthrow our oppressors,
and desensitize those who seek to censor our witchcraft?

my friends, what is witchcraft without the witch hunt?

simply? and not bogged down in watery terms of
disillusionment and purposeful confusion?
